New Class, New Studio and New Price!
Salisbury Studios, the latest addition to the Brisbane Art scene have opened their doors for business! They have a selection of art classes available at their new art studio – The Old Bomb Factory.
Drawn From Life and Salisbury Studios are conjointly offering a special life drawing course to celebrate the opening – Drawn From Life @ The Old Bomb Factory.
Drawn From Life @ The Old Bomb Factory
Designed as an introduction to the new studio, you can meet the teachers and experience life drawing at ‘The Bomb.’ Learn the art of life drawing as you explore the basic concepts and drawing techniques favoured by artists since the Italian Renaissance. Drawing materials and their useage will also be explained and demonstrated. Some of the concepts that will be covered include:
- Composition– understanding balance and proportion in your drawing.
- Perspective– depicting volumes and spatial relationships on a flat surface.
- Volume – The amount of space occupied by a three-dimensional subject.

Classes are held in our well-equipped studio located in Salisbury, on the South side of Brisbane.
Intentionally small classes allow for quality one-on-one time with the tutor, so don’t delay in booking your place as numbers are limited!
Cost: $355, includes all materials plus model levy.

When: Thursday, 27 May, 2010. 7.00pm-9.00pm.
Duration: 2 hour sessions x 5 weeks.

Weekly Life Drawing Sessions
Every Wednesday night, Drawn From Life runs casual life drawing sessions. These sessions are untutored but open to all, regardless of your level of skill. There is no need to book, simply turn up on the night!
Where – Whitlam Studio. Metro Arts building, Lvl 4, 109 Edward Street, Brisbane.
Cost – $16, this includes model levy, drawing boards and some drawing materials. BYO drawing material.
Time – 7.15-9.15pm. Please ensure you arrive by 10 minutes prior to class to allow a prompt start.
You can pay in cash on the night.
Tea and coffee are provided but please bring your own cup!
